eelio initiative is a not-for profit (501c3 - application pending ) organization, founded by Alexia Galakatos, to serve the children in Addis Ababa with special needs. While planning the best solution for these children, Alexia uncovered more needs, in more areas, and was inspired to expand the outreach to what is now eelio initiative, a three-tiered support organization that will touch the lives of tens of thousands of Ethiopians each year. Keeping administrative expenses at a minimum is of paramount importance. eelio initiative strives to keep operating expenses and administrative overhead under 10% of its annual budget, allowing 90% or more of contributions received to be used in direct support of its three core programs. In this vein, eelio initiative is run entirely out of offices provided by EELIO, LLC, a for-profit, speech pathology practice, owned by Alexia Galakatos. Currently, eelio initiative is a 100% volunteer-based organization; with no salaries or stipends paid to any member of its management team or Board of Advisors. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ |
